DPM Metals Recognised for the Best Business Move of 2025

DPM Metals has been recognised for the Best Business Move in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region for 2025, acknowledging the strategic significance of the acquisition of Adriatic Metals.
The recognition is awarded by the business portal Indikator.ba in partnership with the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The acquisition was identified as one of the most significant investment transactions completed in Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent years.
The transaction brought the Vareš Operations into DPM Metals' international portfolio and opened a new phase for the operation. Our approach is based on a long-term commitment to safe, responsible and sustainable mining, continued investment and strong relationships with employees, communities, institutions and business partners.
At the time the recognition was announced, the Vareš Operations employed more than 500 people and worked with hundreds of domestic suppliers and contractors. This network supports economic activity in Vareš, the Zenica-Doboj Canton and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our operational focus remains on optimising the processing plant, improving efficiency and progressing towards the planned annual capacity of 850,000 tonnes of ore. The award recognises the scale of the investment and the long-term value of responsible operations.
