DPMetals BH and JP Vodokom Kakanj Partner to Strengthen Drinking Water Monitoring

DPMetals BH and JP Vodokom Kakanj have signed a donation and business-technical cooperation agreement that will strengthen the continuous monitoring of heavy metals in drinking water.

Under the agreement, DPMetals BH will finance the procurement and donate modern monitoring equipment to the Kakanj public water utility. JP Vodokom Kakanj will be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment, conducting measurements and monitoring, and publishing the results regularly.

The agreement supports conclusions adopted by the Kakanj Municipal Council in 2024 on procuring equipment to monitor heavy metals in water. Following dialogue between the company and JP Vodokom Kakanj, the agreement was prepared, reviewed and accepted by the Council.

The equipment will strengthen the utility's capacity to collect consistent data and provide regular information on drinking water quality. Responsibilities are clearly defined: the company provides the investment and equipment, while the public utility remains responsible for monitoring, maintenance and reporting.
